I was in May 2009 in Praha and bought one of those delicious Trdlo. Now I would like to make it at home in Germany. Does anybody know the recipe how to make it and where can I get this oven? I would be grateful for any help.

Bali?s dry season occurs between April and October, with heat and humidity indexes still high. Monsoon season is between November and March with January and February being the wettest months.

yeah i went to this joint last week.

- It is from the same company as the Kopitiam in Chinatown (which went downhill after the first few months of opening)
- This place's prices are pretty reasonable. The roti canai is not bad but the following have issues:
a) rojak - for $9 , you would expect more on the plate. It's too little and the taste does lose out to New Straits Cafe
b) nasi kayu kandar - the spices in the lamb rendang, nasi briyani and curry chicken are too flat. I must say that no one has ever done better than "Nasi Kayu Kandar Penang" which opened up in Boxhill a few years ago. It was owned by a friend of mine. Sadly, it's closed down now.

Overall, this old town kopitiam is rubbish. I rather Bismi in Sydney Rd. It's the real thing ;)

Ah great! Years ago there was a little gelati shop down there with banana lounges which was very pleasant. I'm glad it's getting used again.

I've often like walking down that way when I used to live in the city. It seems like another world, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and incredibly beautiful and quiet late at night.
