Nigella’s Chocolate Berry Pavlova
This dessert is definitely a showstopper - a dark meringue base smothered with King Island cream then topped with mixed berries.
It just looks the very part of a decadent dessert and delivers on taste too. The huge chunks of chocolate bits in my pavlova formed a lovely textural contrast to the chewy base while the tartness of the berries off-set the sweet chocolatiness of it all .

Looks SENSATIONAL! I grew up in an Italian household, so pavlova (like lemon delicious pudding) was for me always one of those fabulously “exotic” items I only ever tasted at friends’ birthday parties…

“You had me at pavlova”
The great photo also sold it for me, so I headed over to Nigella’s website, got the recipe, drop by the supermarket after work to get all the ingredients and now the pavlova is currently in the oven baking. Only another 30 minutes before it’s done and I can decorate it and eat it.

I love pavlova - it’s one of my favourite desserts. And you can’t beat King Island cream.
