Yesterday…
The scene between A and myself as we are walking down Elizabeth Street towards Flinders Street Station:
A: “So how was your day?”
Me: “Busy. I’ve been working on the catering and merchandising for the office launch”
A: “I was going over the invitation list for the launch and wondered if we should send an invitation to S. & H. What do you think?”
Me: “That sounds like a good idea but I’m not sure…..BEARD PAPA!” (stopping dead in my tracks)
I didn’t quite scream those words out but I definitely said it loudly enough for A. to freeze in his tracks and wonder who was about to attack us.
Anyway, the news is that Beard Papa has opened it’s first Victoria store on Elizabeth Street, near the Flinder Street corner. It’s just a shop front actually so it’s more difficult to hear their “IRASHAIMASE!” greeting.
Get there and get one (or twelve)!

I heard about it from a friend too! I’m going to go get me some next week on my day off!

That’s hilarious Cindy. You can definitely tell who the foodies are. I sometimes will be walking and then suddenly if I see some nice cakes or something, I will literally go “Ohhhh” and walk over to the window and peep inside like a little kid.

Dear sweet jeezus! Thanks for the heads up - I must have walked straight past it this morning and missed it! Will make sure to head inside on my way home!

Is it sacreligious that I didn’t know what Beard Papa’s was? Never fear though, a quick google search and now I can’t wait to try the green tea flavour!

Will have to check out Beard Papa on my next visit. Also, just got turned onto My Favourite Foods and am adding a link to my food site, Gosstronomy.com, to help spread the word. My site is based in Sydney, but would love for you to check it out. It’s only been up for a few weeks, so looking to get as much feedback as possible. I’m also hoping to spread the word about Gosstronomy, so would be really appreciative if you would consider adding me to your list of food links as well.
Thanks - Michael
