We haven't had breakfast there, but the pizza's at Kush aren't too bad.
Personally I prefer to have a lazy breakfast at home, Baked duck eggs!!

I think I know this Kush place you're referring to. We had lunch there once and it was fairly ordinary but it didn't look as poor as your mushroom and eggs. Cafe Sienna makes good eggs apparently? A friend goes there every weekend and order their poached eggs. I've been there once too, but had the french toast, so I can't really comment :\

It is to the left of the steps and on the right of where the public toilets are, I think. It has an all glass front and tables that are just at the top of the steps to the left. If all that makes sense? My friend Chrissy and I were saved, because it seems to us that you can't get a large coffee in a cafe anywhere in Melbourne unless you go to Glorias. Then again I am sure I am wrong. I just don't know the place as well as the locals. Sometimes you just don't want to go to Glorias, you just want to sit back and enjoy all that is Melbourne, this Cafe does that for me. My favourite city in Australia. The one city that is true to my heart and passion. Melbourne is to me all about atmosphere and food. Little Collins Street has so much character and I love St Kilda with all those cakes. But you have to pick the right cake shop because there is one in particular that I adore. Cheers Amelita

I scootered past there the other day, and now you've reminded me that I should give it a try. But it doesn't sound promising. Hard eggs are bad eggs. Creamy porridge on the other hand...

Matt: I don’t mind the table setting as I can always move things around until the please me aesthetically It’s just the way the food is cooked and dished that I had a problem with. Don’t the mushrooms look kinda lonely on that plate? Like they’ve just been dumped there to sit all by their lonesome self. The toast is very bare too. Maybe they should just use smaller plates…

Amelita: Fed Sq has some nice places but I haven’t tried breakfast there cos the menus tend to be toom limited. Let me know which place you tried (is it on the square or down the stairs?)

Kristen: It’s so important to get the eggs right especially!

Everytime I am in Melbourne I get my brekky fix at the cafe at Federation Square. I don't know the name of the place, but the Latte's are yummo and the breakfast there is fantastic. Poor Effort on the Kush Bars part :(

There is a certain haphazard disorganisation of that table setting... which is exactly the way I like to eat breakfast... however, a poorly poached egg is absolutely unforgivable...
