And btw Jess
I doubt you'd make a good business out of those
There's no manufacturer, or any company for them
They're all mostly sold in bakery's or in a small kiosque held at bazars such as the ones at christmas and easter
Anyways if you really want to enjoy them, book a flight during any holiday, and your likely to find them at every street corner

Wow, this is so neat that you are able to watch them make the crazy bread! It looks amazing. I haven't seen anything like this place since I was in Florida..but I'm sure it doesn't taste this good. YUM!

Hi All

I am also a massive Trdlo fan and am thinking of starting up my own business selling them in the UK. For those of you looking for Trdlo ovens that are made in the states, here is a link to a manufacturers website.

http://chimneysweets.com/ovens/

Unfortunately, the machines this gentleman makes are not the same as those used in the Czech and I can't find the name of the manufacturer who does make them. Can anybody help me? I've actually booked a flight to Prague just to go and find this information but if anybody can help it would be great.

Take care now!

My father was a 3rd generation Czech baker. After 3 visits to Slovakia and 1 to the C.R., and having tasted this wonderful pastry, I MUST find out where I can purchase a trdelnik oven. Has anyone found one in the U.S. or now the cost of importing one?
Thanks!
